I have a brand new book in the Credence Curse series coming called Reason to Love. I’ve been mentioning this book for a while now and the first teasers are ready… so here’s a little sneak peek of what’s to come. The cover reveal is in February 2017. But for now, I have a sneak peek to get you ready for this. It’s been a while since I wrote a book in the Credence Curse series and I’m dying for you to read it. 😉
THE CREDENCE CURSE SERIES
REASON TO LOVE (BOOK THREE)
COVER REVEAL FEBRUARY 2017
My fingers stilled before turning robotically to face him. There was an eerily familiar predatory gleam in his eyes. It was the same predatory stare I gave men I was determined to sample in order to scratch my sexual itch. But that was before I changed my simpering vixen ways.
My life of looking for love and sex in all the wrong places was done. I wanted more in a man and a relationship, and Jackal for damn sure wasn’t it.
His lips curled up into a sexy smile with beautiful whites on display. I bit back the hysterical bubble of laughter at the cocky, sexy smile that I was positive had countless women—Others and humans alike—melting at his feet.
“Why else?” I replied.
His smile disappeared.
My eyes widened with fake dismay. “Oh… I see. You actually thought I was interested in being a member of your freaky sex circus.”
I patted him on the head like a puppy. “Sorry. Not interested.”
His canines lengthened to menacing points.
I bit back a snicker, before saying, “Why are you mad? Just suck it up, buttercup.”
With beefy arms crossed and eyes staring at me disapprovingly, he replied, “Let’s get one thing clear, vampire. I’m not interested in sleeping with you. All I’m saying is that I’m here for you if you need anything.”
I snorted. Uh huh.
I cocked my head. “Okay, I’m going to break it down for you like you’re a two-year-old because I have places to be tonight. I’m not interested in being your next fuck toy. Besides, you and I know I’m not your type.”
“Type?” he growled.
“A woman who’s not afraid to knock your cocky ass down a couple of notches. Goodnight, shifter.” Quickly turning around and placing my hand on the doorknob, I yelped when I felt his saucer-sized palms plop down onto my shoulders before turning me around gently to face him. “What the hell are you doing?” I squeaked.
He released his grip and grabbed my waist, roughly pulling me forward. “Are you scared, vampire?” His eyebrow lifted.
I refused to move away from him. I didn’t back away from anything. Never had, never would. “Of what?” My unease heightened when he watched me with that delicious intensity, which immediately made me all hot and jittery.
“This,” he grunted.
He arched down. Grabbing my face between his calloused palms, a weird jolt of energy pulsed through me. Instead of pushing him away, strangely, the only thing I could think of is how long it’d been since I felt a man’s hands on my skin. His full focus was on me, the attention sending little tremors of awareness through me as we stared at each other, speechless, our faces mere inches apart.
Move, Reason. Just fucking move.
My mind and body staged a mutiny by refusing to cooperate as if daring the shifter to make another move. He did by pressing his lips against mine.
No. No. No. This will not do.
